സഹോദരിക്കൊപ്പം ഉറങ്ങാന്‍ കിടന്ന സംഗീതയെ അര്‍ദ്ധരാത്രിയില്‍ വീടിന് പുറത്തേക്ക് വിളിച്ചിറക്കിയാണ് പ്രതി കൊലപ്പെടുത്തിയത്. പെണ്‍ക്കുട്ടിയുടെ സുഹൃത്തായ ഗോപു, അഖില്‍ എന്ന പേരില്‍ മറ്റൊരു നമ്പറില്‍ നിന്ന് പെണ്‍കുട്ടിയുമായി ചാറ്റ് തുടങ്ങി ബന്ധം സ്ഥാപിച്ചു. അഖില്‍ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട പ്രകാരമാണ് പെണ്‍കുട്ടി വീടിന് പുറത്തേയ്ക്ക് പോയത്. ഹെല്‍മെറ്റ് ധരിച്ചാണ് ഗോപു എത്തിയത്. സംശയം തോന്നിയ പെണ്‍കുട്ടി ഹെല്‍മെറ്റ് മാറ്റാന്‍ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. ഇതിനിടയില്‍ ഗോപു സംഗീതയെ ആക്രമിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. കത്തി ഉപയോഗിച്ചാണ് പ്രതി ആക്രമിച്ചത്. മരിച്ച സംഗീത രണ്ടാം വര്‍ഷ ബിരുദ വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥിയാണ്.
